Just got back from Woodburn last night; what an awesome weekend! I entered in the VROD class and SEP (11.50 Index). Friday nite test and tune I ran a personal best of 11.32 @118 MPH. Saturday I qualifying 3rd in the vrod class (11.54) and 11th (out of 12) 11.66 in SEP. First round SEP I beat the #2 qualifier. Went to the semi's in both classes before losing to Len Guidera in vrod and #1 plate and points leader National Champion Dan Degood in SEP. That was a great race - a double breakout me at 11.38 and him at 11.47. He treed the $hit out of me and led by a bike length the whole way; it never occured to me to lift at the end being he was ahead. He used the time to dial in for ET which he won. Terry Vaughn won vrod with a 9.84 fastest I've ever seen him go. Matt Guidera broke in test and tune after a 9.70's pass. Anyway it was all good and I now have 2 checks to cash.

That's a hell of a day of racing!!!

I'm sure winning those checks to cash make it even better!!!

Thanks for sharing your experience. It's cool knowing most of us are riding around town on the same type of machines you, Upsman, Kaz and many others take screaming down the track with much success!!!

You guys do the V-ROD, all of us and the forum proud!!!

I would not call that around here 3 1/2 hrs to Budds creek and that is the closet one. Now I guess for people that are big into the racing thing that may be a close one but for a beginer that is a haul.

3 1/2 hours is "around the corner" on my map ,, its a matter of want vs wish
my own bike is long from done , but I think I made 10 races last year just to help friends ,, I typicaly drove from Buffalo NY to tennessee , then helped drive the rig to what ever race ,, fewer races this year ,, but traveling to fort lauderdale , picking up the rig and driving to seattle ,, that was trip !

Congrats on your 11.32 pass, not bad for a stocker. I'm thinking you may have used some of the Rent a Rod tricks.
